Aramaic Mantra of Healing and Liberation

The Aramaic Mantra of Healing and Liberation

Arpea Batala

On this sacred night of All Hallows’ Eve, which this year gracefully merges with Shabbat, the veils between worlds thin, and we are invited into a space where heaven and earth, life and death, body and spirit meet in quiet conversation.

For those of you who are wanting to experience a deep practice,  the Aramaic mantra אַרְפֵּא בַּטָּלָא — Arpea Batala is the perfect chant and prayer.

This ancient invocation is one of profound simplicity and power. And Arpea Batala is actually found in the Magnificat in Aramaic!
It means:

Arpea — to heal, to make whole, to restore harmony.
Batala — to release, to dissolve, to set free.

Together, they form a sacred prayer:

Arpea Batala  is a living frequency that awakens three pathways of transformation within us:

1. Liberation of the Body

Its sound moves through the nervous system, dissolving fear, cellular trauma, and ancestral tension.
Each repetition restores flow and harmony to the sacred vessel of the body, awakening the breath of the Holy Spirit, the Ruach HaKodesh, within.

2. Purification of the Soul

The mantra acts as a balm for the emotional and energetic bodies, cleansing karmic residues and releasing inherited grief.
It realigns the soul with its original purity, its timeless light before separation.

3. Union with the Divine

As we chant, we are re-woven into the field of Oneness.
Every separation melts. Every wound becomes an opening through which Divine Love flows. The mantra heals the illusion of distance between ourselves and God, between life and death, between the visible and the unseen.

On All Hallows’ Eve, the ancestors draw near. The veils open, and remembrance becomes effortless.
On Shabbat, the Shekhinah, the Divine Motherdescends into the world, gathering all scattered sparks back into wholeness.

When we chant Arpea Batala on this night we bridge both worlds:
We offer healing to our ancestors,  invite freedom to souls still bound by pain or memory, and consecrate our own being as a vessel of peace.

It is the perfect invocation for this moment of holy convergence,
a song of return for the living and the departed alike.
