Shabbat Message: When the Groom Leaves the Bridal Chamber
Blessings to all of you on this Shabbat – Venus Day!
In the Gospel of Thomas we read the following lines_
They said to [Yeshua], “Come, let’s pray and fast today.”
Yeshua said, “What have I done wrong? Have I failed?
“Rather, when the groom leaves the bridal chamber, then people should fast and pray.”
Humanity was created to be the bride. Deep down in the center of our being, in the deepest part of our heart, we seek to be filled. As the Bride is made to be married, the Bride can only find completion when joined with ALaha.
When we join every part of our life and being – our heart, our soul, our experiences, our wounds, our longings, our desires, our joy, our sadness, everything—to Alaha, only then can we be complete. In this moment our deepest needs and longings are fulfilled. The mystery of Divine Union begins with the bride, and the bride can only find her completion in the Bridegroom.
On Shabbat Venus Day we are given the opportunity to remember and become again the Bride. Shekhinah, the Divine Feminine Presence, is who we commune with first as she is the bridge to the eternal love story of our Souls with Alaha and Alaha with our Souls.
On this day may we remember to be receptive and open the door to the Bridegroom, for when the Bridegroom leaves we again become veiled.
