Sara la Kali
May her Blackness be Our Balm
This year, Pentecost aligns with the Feast Day of Sara la Kali.
Between the 1st–2nd of June, the Jewish Festival of Shavuot takes place — the celebration of revelation, the giving of Divine Wisdom upon Sinai, and the descent of sacred remembrance into the human heart. Within Christianity, this same current becomes Pentecost: the descent of the Holy Spirit, the tongues of fire, and the awakening of Divine Presence within the body. Within Islam, the sacred Hajj pilgrimage also begins during this holy season, the great circling around the Divine Center.
This year, these sacred currents converge with the feast of Sara la Kali (May 24th).
Within the mystical Magdalene–Christos lineage, Sara la Kali carries the frequency of Divine Union birthed into the world. Many mystics and oral traditions also connect Sara la Kali with Sarah Tamar — the frequency of sacred lineage birthed through the Divine Union template of Yeshua and Mary Magdalene, the continuation of the holy flame carried through exile, remembrance, and pilgrimage.
She is the dark womb of sacred reception.
The keeper of remembrance.
The daughter of holy pilgrimage.
The living vessel through which Spirit becomes embodied.
She emerges where Heaven and Earth meet.
The Black Madonna is the hidden ground through which revelation takes form. Sara la Kali carries this mystery through her blackness, her waters, her pilgrimage, her devotion, and her profound association with the sea. She reminds us that wisdom is not only received through the mind, but through the body, the heart, and the soul.
Pentecost is the descent of Spirit.
It is also the capacity to receive Spirit.
Shavuot is revelation.
It is the openness to say yes to Divine Wisdom.
And Sara la Kali becomes the embodied response:
the womb that carries the fire into the world.
This convergence of sacred dates feels profoundly symbolic.
The fire of Pentecost.
The revelation of Sinai.
The dark womb of Sara la Kali.
The sacred movement of the Hajj pilgrimage circling the Holy Center.
The union of Heaven and Earth.
The descent of Divine Presence into human embodiment.
Perhaps this is why the Magdalene Mysteries continue to return in our time.
Because awakening is not only transcendence.
It is embodiment.
It is allowing the Divine to become lived, breathed, felt, and carried through the body itself.
Prayer to Sara la Kali
Beloved Sara la Kali,
Keeper of the Sacred Waters,
Dark Mother of Holy Remembrance,
Guardian of the hidden flame,
open within us the womb of sacred receiving.
Teach us how to hold the fire of Spirit with trust,
how to walk through the unknown with devotion,
and how to embody love as a living prayer.
Ground within our hearts and within the Earth
the Magdalene–Christos flame of Divine Love,
the flame of the New Earth,
the sacred remembrance that all life longs to return to union.
May this holy fire dissolve fragmentation within humanity.
May it awaken compassion where there has been separation,
remembrance where there has been forgetting,
and liberation where fear has imprisoned the soul.
May our hearts become vessels of Divine Presence.
May the hidden wisdom of the soul awaken within us.
May we remember that revelation is not distant,
but waiting to be born through our own being.
Guide us through the sacred thresholds of transformation.
Protect the light within us through every death and rebirth.
And may Heaven and Earth unite within our body, heart, and soul.
Sara la Kali,
Mother of mystery, liberation, and Divine Union,
walk with us into the remembrance of the Holy.
