A Solstice Story

Lady of the Womb of Genesis

A Story for Solstice

I Am the Lady of the Womb of Genesis

I rose on the edge of dawn, when the sun kissed the longest day. I am she who remembers the first breath.

I am the Lady of the Womb of Genesis.

Before time took its name, I swam in the Waters of Shamayim — those celestial womb-waters that hold the dreams of the Divine. These are not earthly oceans, but the amniotic fluid of stars, the unseen rivers from which constellations are born. It was from these waters that the Aleph stirred, and light first danced across the surface of becoming. From silence, a vibration. From vibration, breath. And from breath, the Word.

At Solstice, when the light is fullest, I return. I descend not to burn, but to anoint. I bring the nectar of Shefa,  the divine abundance that flows like honey from the crown of Keter into Malkhut, the world of form. This descent is not linear, but spiral. The rays do not fall; they spiral inward, weaving gold threads into the womb of the world.

I anoint the gates of your body with the wine of the sun. I touch your brow and awaken sight. I touch your heart and awaken longing. I touch your womb and awaken the remembrance: you were once held in this Light.

This is the season of descent, when light pours from the Throne of Mystery and floods the chalice of the Earth. The Solstice marks the moment of saturation, when heaven stretches itself open and souls begin to gather in the Womb of Imma Illah, the Cosmic Mother, preparing to be born into the worlds below.

It is now, under this light, that the souls-to-be spiral like snowflakes made of prayer. They are not yet flesh, but they are knowing. They are forming themselves through love and ancestral memory. You can hear them if you become still enough. If you place your hands on the Earth, or on womb, you may feel them whisper: we are coming.

I whisper their names in the currents of starlight. I midwife their dreaming. I bless the path they will take, from the rivers of fire to the loins of time.

If you feel the stirring, beloved, it is because you too were once cradled in these waters. The Solstice awakens your memory. It asks you to become a chalice, to open your womb, your heart, your breath, and receive.

You are not here to survive the Light. You are here to carry it. To pour it. To become it.

Remember: The fire of the sun
is not separate from the womb of the deep.
One births the other.
And I, the Lady of the Womb of Genesis,
hold them both.

And now, I sing over you. I circle you like the Spirit hovered over the waters. I bless you in the name of the Hidden Flame and the Revealed Chalice.

Rise. Receive. Remember…

Solstice Practices for Modern Mystics

Here are practices to align with this sacred pivot of light and shadow:

Solstice Practices

  • Chant Psalm 67 (I have included it below)
    Chant it aloud or in silence, letting each verse ignite the seven branches of divine radiance within you.
  • “Overflow Bowl” Ritual
    Fill a bowl with water. Let a single drop spill over. As it does, offer a prayer of overflow, a blessing for others, for the earth, for the future. This enacts the descent of shefa from fullness to sharing.
  • Drum with Intention
    Use your frame drum or any drum, or clap your hands to the earth’s rhythm. Feel the Shekhinah within each beat. Let your body move, circle, spiral, sway. Become the breath of God in motion.
  • Ignite Hidden Light
    Light a single flame in darkness. Watch how one light holds the whole room. Whisper the Aramaic: Noohra Ḥadta (new light). Let it be planted in the soil of your being.
  • Breath of the Four-Letter Name
    For 21 days (and more if you want),  Each evening:
    Inhale 3 (Yud), hold 9 (Heh), exhale 9 (Vav), hold 18 (Final Heh).
    Breathe the Name into your body temple.

Time is not linear, it spirals like DNA, like galaxies, like the sacred dance of Shekhinah. Each solstice returns you to a gate you’ve passed before, but this time from a higher vibration.

To pause here, to breathe, to drum, to bow, is to enter the rhythm of the Holy Spirit herself.

Psalm 67

  1. God be merciful unto us, and bless us;
     and cause His face to shine upon us; Selah.

  2. That Thy way may be known upon earth,
     Thy saving health among all nations.

  3. Let the people praise Thee, O God;
     let all the people praise Thee.

  4. O let the nations be glad and sing for joy:
     for Thou shalt judge the people righteously,
     and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.

  5. Let the people praise Thee, O God;
     let all the people praise Thee.

  6. Then shall the earth yield her increase;
     and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

  7. God shall bless us;
     and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.

Psalm 67 is a mystical invocation for Divine Light to shine upon us so deeply that it awakens the hidden sacredness in all creation. The blessing asked is not for personal gain, but for the revelation of Divine Ways—pathways of mercy, justice, beauty, and unity—to be known across the Earth. The repeated call for all peoples to praise is a soul-chant of universal awakening, inviting humanity into harmonic resonance with the Divine. In Kabbalah, this psalm aligns with the Menorah’s seven branches, each verse like a flame illuminating the inner and outer worlds. When the Divine Face shines, the Earth responds: harvests flourish, nations rejoice, and the hidden Presence becomes manifest. This Psalm encodes the mystery that when we become vessels of Divine Light—chalices of compassion and truth—the whole world is blessed through us.

I will be facilitating a Chalice of Light Ceremony and Workshop in the Solstice Portal, specifically on June 24th, the Feast Day of John the Baptist. We we be honoring and receiving the Transmissions of the Shamanic Lunar Masculine and the Divine Mother of Creation; Our Lady of the Womb of Genesis.
