The Lion’s Gate and the Integration of Christian and Hebraic Mysticism
Raised in the Catholic tradition, I was formed within a spiritual framework rich in sacrament, iconography, and contemplative devotion. Yet, as my intellectual and mystical inquiry deepened, it became evident that Christianity, in its mystical roots, is not a standalone phenomenon but a continuation and transformation of earlier Jewish mystical thought. In fact, to understand the true teachings of Yeshua of Nazareth, one must return to the soil of Hebrew scripture, temple symbolism, and the vibrational language of the prophets, most especially the feminine presence of the Divine, known in Kabbalah as Shekhinah.
It has taken years of study and embodied spiritual practice for me to understand that the evolution of the spiritual path is not a rejection of what came before, but a deeper rooting into tradition in order to expand it. The new must be born from a seed—a lineage—otherwise it becomes rootless innovation, disconnected from ancestral wisdom. My own theological and experiential journey has led me into a profound integration of Hebrew and Christian Mysticism, not merely as a syncretic exercise, but as a coherent spiritual ecology that restores unity to what history has often held in opposition.
As we just crossed the threshold of the 9th of Av on the 2nd of August (Tisha B’Av), traditionally the most sorrowful day in the Aramaic – Hebrew calendar, marking the destruction of both the First and Second Temples, we are reminded that destruction, in the mystical understanding, is not simply a historical event but a cosmic principle. In Leo, the astrological sign ruled by the Sun and associated with kingship, identity, and creative authority, the 9th of Av becomes an alchemical gate: it reveals both the fragility of human structures and the eternal architecture of divine renewal.
There are two forms of “shattering” to consider: the false shattering, born of fear and disconnection, and the holy shattering (Hebrew: Shevirat haKelim), a foundational Kabbalistic teaching in which vessels break so that the hidden light within may be released. Over the past eighteen months, my own life has echoed this holy pattern, a process of unmaking and deep purification that allowed me to come into alignment with the essential light of my being. Theologically, one could say that this was a passage from the external law to the inner Torah, from performance to presence.
This week, from August 3rd to 9th, we stand within a rare and potent confluence of energies. On August 8th, we enter the apex of what has become known in modern spiritual astrology as the Lion’s Gate Portal, a numerological and astrological window (8/8 in Leo) that signifies the potential for heightened solar activation and soul remembrance. Remarkably, this year the 8th of August falls on Shabbat, a day in the Aramaic – Hebrew – Early Christian mystical tradition governed by Shekhinah, the indwelling feminine presence of the Divine who descends into time each Friday at sunset to restore wholeness.
This convergence is a moment where the solar radiance of Leo meets the lunar grace of Shabbat, where the fire of transformation does not burn indiscriminately but illuminates the inner sanctum of the soul.
For this week’s mystical orientation and energy of the week:
Light Beings for this Week: Mary Magdalene and Yeshua
Mary Magdalene appears as an archetype of divine remembrance, the embodiment of the union between sacred eros and holy Chokhmah (Wisdom). She stands at the threshold of tradition and innovation, holding the codes of the lost feminine lineages of Israel while illuminating the way for embodied resurrection in every seeker.
Yeshua, as revealed through both the mystical Gospels and esoteric traditions of Kabbalah and Gnostic Christianity, emerges not merely as a messianic figure, but as a Tzaddik Elyon , a Supernal Righteous One , whose very life and teachings were encoded as a map for soul transformation. He is the embodiment of Tiferet, the sefirah of Divine Beauty and Compassion, mediating between the infinite light (Keter) and the immanent presence (Shekhinah). His mission was not to start a religion, but to reveal the hidden architecture of divine consciousness within the human form.
Yeshua lived and taught in the language of Aramaic, the mother tongue of his people, and through this language, the teachings of the Kingdom (Malkhuta d’Shmaya) were not abstract ideals but embodied frequencies. His words were vibrational codes meant to awaken dormant remembrance. Every parable, every healing, every breath of prayer was a transmission of the Ruach HaKodesh, the Holy Spirit moving through him, inviting all to return to their divine origin.
In union, Magdalene and Yeshua mirror the sacred polarity that births the Light of the World: the Zachar (active divine force) and the Nekevah (receptive divine presence) in full communion. This union is the reconciliation of the fragmented self into wholeness , Tikkun haNefesh , through the marriage of the inner masculine and feminine, justice and mercy, word and silence.
Kabbalistic Focus:
We are drawn into the dynamic between Gevurah (discernment, sacred limitation) and Tiferet (beauty, harmony, balance). The soul is asked to integrate the fire of clarity with the compassion of divine symmetry. It is a week to refine the vessel in order to receive.
Gnostic Christian Wisdom:
The Logos becomes flesh through gnosis, not dogmo. As the Gospel of Thomas reminds us: “If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you.” The Kingdom is not an external reign but an internal architecture, built through humility, awareness, and direct union with the Divine.
Magdalene Revelation Oracle of the Week:
The Black Rose — The Black Madonna
She who holds the codes of womb-wisdom, subterranean knowing, and the alchemy of descent. She reminds us that the dark is not a curse but a sanctuary; that true light is born through gestation and surrender, not control.
Collective Tikkun for the Week: Healing the Fragmented Heart and Reclaiming the Light of Trust
Core Wound:
After collective experiences of destruction, loss, betrayal, or exile (energetically encoded in the 9th of Av – Leo), humanity carries a deep karmic memory of abandonment, by others, by the Divine, and even by our own soul. This results in spiritual hesitation: fear of fully trusting, of opening the heart, of rising again after collapse.
Tikkun Invitation:
This week, we are called to heal the wound of distrust that lingers in the heart — both personally and collectively.
Aramaic Mantra:
Shlama Alaha Imakh – שְׁלָמָא אֱלָהָא עִמָּךְ
“May the Peace of God be with you.”
This is not peace as absence of conflict, but peace as fullness of divine indwelling.
Mantra:
“I root in the fire of my origin. I rise in the light of my becoming.”
May this week be of conscious alignment. A week to re-establish our covenant with the Divine as embodied, soul-anchored presence.
May the gates that open reveal to you the part of yourself you have not yet dared to love.
May we walk as temples of the living ALaha (Divine Mother – Father), alive in the mystery.
Join me for a Lion´s Gate Magdalene Shabbat on August 8th. Magdalene Shabbats are monthly gatherings and participation is by donation as the funds go towards children in India that we are sponsoring with their food, clothing and education. CLICK HERE to register.
Wishing you a radiant week full of Blessings!
