Sacred Invocation for Imbolc ~ Candlemas
Beloved Light,
Keeper of the hidden flame,
Guardian of the threshold between winter’s sleep and spring’s first breath,
We stand before You in this time of quiet awakening,
Where the spark stirs within the womb of darkness,
Where the seed dreams beneath the frost,
Where the flame of Shekhinah, of Brigid, of the Holy Mother,
whispers of renewal, of rebirth, of the sacred becoming.
Holy One,
On this threshold of Imbolc and Candlemas,
we welcome the return of the light,
both in the world and within our hearts.
Bless this sacred fire,
the fire of inspiration, of purification, of divine wisdom.
May it burn away all that is old and heavy,
clearing the path for the new life that is to come.
Shekhinah, Brigid, Mother of Illumination,
bless these candles we light in devotion,
as symbols of the indwelling presence,
as beacons of the ever-burning fire within us.
May this light awaken our hearts,
renew our spirits,
and lead us deeper into the mystery of divine love.
Holy Yeshua, Sacred Son of Light,
who was presented in the temple on this day,
as an offering of first fruits,
bless this time of consecration,
of rededication to the path of truth and love.
May we, too, be offerings of light,
vessels of healing, of wisdom, of peace.
Blessed be the waters of life,
that flow forth from the wells of the earth,
and the wellsprings of the soul.
Blessed be the fire that burns,
that cleanses, that guides us home.
Blessed be the womb of creation,
the holy cave, the sacred forge,
where all things are made new.
And so we kindle the flame,
and we walk forward with faith,
trusting in the unseen,
embracing the light,
and surrendering to the great becoming.
