The soul-threads of our Father and our Mother

The Kabbalistic Codes of the Father and Mother

A Journey of Divine Inheritance

“All that is born, all that is created, all the elements of nature are interwoven and united with each other.”

Gospel of Mary Magdalene

These are words of hope and remembrance, where generation, creation, and the elemental forces do not exist in isolation, but in a sacred  communion of being. This is a revelation of the primordial unity underlying multiplicity, a principle resonating with both mystical cosmology and the deep structures of Kabbalistic and Gnostic thought.

When we contemplate this teaching, we enter a sanctuary of profound reflection, where the boundaries between self and cosmos begin to dissolve. The “interweaving” suggests that nothing is autonomous, our breath participates in the breath of the trees, our cells in the rhythm of the oceans, our soul in the pulse of the Infinite.

Today, I would like bring this mystery into the intimate terrain of our own genesis, the spiritual and physical coding imparted to us by our parents. Within the strands of our DNA and the impressions of our soul, the elemental dance continues: ancestral memory interlaces with divine intention, biology intertwines with spirit. In recognizing this, we begin to see that our very existence is a living testament to that original unity, still unfolding within us.

The Father Codes: Seeds of Wisdom and the Flame of Origin

The father is a spiritual transmitter of Chokhmah, the second sefirah (Dimension), which contains the primal flash of divine insight. Chokhmah is like the Aramaic – Hebrew letter Yod: small, yet infinite in potential. It is the point from which all creation expands.

When we speak of the Father Codes, we refer to those imprints that awaken:

  • Divine Purpose: The sacred blueprint that propels the soul toward fulfillment.
  • Initiatory Spark: The beginning of motion, inspiration, and cosmic memory.
  • Transmission: The spiritual lineage passed through blessing and sacred presence.
  • Structure: The invisible scaffolding that allows vision to crystallize into form.

Even when a father is absent in the physical realm, his codes live on in what the Kabbalists call Abba Elyon, the Supernal Father. This is the source of generative light that never ceases, guiding us from the field of higher consciousness.

To remember the father is to reclaim our origin. It is to awaken the creative pulse that first called us into being.

To “remember the father” is more than thinking about a parent or recalling childhood memories. It is a conscious act of returning to a deeper origin — the place in our being where the seed of our life was first planted.

The father, whether present in our lives or not, represents the principle of initiation, vision, and direction. In many spiritual traditions, the father archetype is connected to the spark that begins creation, the moment when potential first takes shape and moves toward becoming real. Remembering the father means reconnecting with that spark inside ourselves.

When we forget the father, we can lose touch with our sense of direction and with the inner structure that supports our growth. But when we remember him,  in body, heart, and spirit, we reclaim:

  • Our origin — the awareness that we are not random, but called into being with purpose.

  • Our vision — the ability to see possibilities and move toward them with courage.

  • Our strength — the inner framework that helps us hold steady when life challenges us.

  • Our blessing — the inheritance of wisdom and energy that lives within us, no matter what our personal history has been.

Even if our relationship with our earthly father was complicated, absent, or painful, there is always the presence of the Higher Father,  the spiritual source of light and creative will that flows beyond human limitations. This is the origin we can always return to.

To remember the father is to stand once again at the threshold where our life began, feel the pulse of that first calling, and let it guide us forward with clarity and strength.

The Mother Codes: Womb of Creation and the Breath of Nurture

The mother is the spiritual bearer of Binah, the third dimension of divine emanation, where the seed of wisdom takes root and begins to gestate into form. If the father is the spark, the mother is the sacred vessel that receives it, surrounds it, and nurtures it into life. Binah is often likened to the Aramaic – Hebrew letter Hei: open, expansive, and life-giving,  a space where possibility unfolds into creation.

When we speak of the Mother Codes, we are speaking of those imprints that awaken within us:

  • Sacred Nurture — the capacity to hold, protect, and sustain life in all its stages.

  • Embodied Wisdom — the knowing that comes from deep listening, patience, and presence.

  • Continuity — the power to weave the threads of past, present, and future into a living tapestry.

  • Compassionate Structure — the invisible embrace that allows growth to happen in safety and trust.

Even when the earthly mother is absent or her love imperfect, these codes remain within us. They are carried by the Supernal Mother — the inexhaustible Womb of the Divine — who births, surrounds, and sustains all creation. This higher dimension is always with us, holding us in the field of unconditional love.

To “remember the mother” is more than recalling a parent or personal memories. It is the act of returning to the original womb,  the source from which we first drew breath and learned what it means to be held.

The mother, whether present in our lives or not, represents the principle of protection, nourishment, and manifestation. Across spiritual traditions, she is the archetype of the fertile ground in which the seed of life can grow strong. Remembering the mother means reconnecting with that ground within ourselves.

When we forget the mother, we can lose touch with our ability to feel safe, to trust the unfolding of life, and to remain rooted in love. But when we remember her, in body, heart, and spirit, we reclaim:

  • Our origin of nurture — the knowing that we were brought into being with care.

  • Our belonging — the sense that we are part of a greater whole and held within it.

  • Our capacity to sustain — the ability to nourish our dreams and relationships over time.

  • Our blessing — the inheritance of compassion and resilience that lives within us.

Even if our relationship with our earthly mother was distant, strained, or painful, there is always the presence of the Higher Mother,  the ever-living Source of love, shelter, and creative power that no absence can erase.

To remember the mother is to stand again within the womb of creation, to feel the breath that first sustained us, and to let that unbroken love carry us forward with grace and trust.

When we remember both the father and the mother, we awaken the full circuitry of our origin. The Father Codes give us direction, purpose, and the strength to move forward. The Mother Codes give us belonging, nurture, and the trust to allow life to unfold.

One without the other leaves us unbalanced: vision without nurture becomes brittle; nurture without vision loses direction. But when both currents are alive within us, we live from wholeness, rooted in love, guided by purpose, and able to create with the fullness of who we are.

To remember them is to step back into the original harmony from which we were born, to walk the path ahead carrying both the seed and the soil, both the spark and the womb, as living forces within our soul.
