Samhain. Mystical Connection
Listen to the wind, watch the crows fly. See the silhouettes in the clouds, hear the whispers swirling around you. The worlds merge and the other world is not far away, it is enveloped with this world. We leave the mind and the logos at the door and we go down deeply to meet the Dark Goddess, with our Initiatory Death.
I feel my feet firmly on the ground and the support of my ancestors.
Samhain teaches us that it is time to descend into darkness. Samhain is a season, a cycle, not a day. Our ancestors walk with us and we will soon reach the initiatory death that will lead us to be born in Christ light at the Winter Solstice.
Samhain celebrates the cycle of death and rebirth. In the northern hemisphere, leaves are dying and nature is preparing for winter. In the southern hemisphere, dormant shoots prepare to be reborn and open in early summer. We can see in the holiday that it is the polarity of Samhain, Beltane, as Life and Death always go hand in hand.
Death and rebirth is an important cycle that is constantly seen in nature, and it is also something that is reflected in us.
We are always going through our own process of undoing, releasing, and being reborn as we travel along the journey of life.
This is a time to honor the “deaths” we have all experienced throughout 2020. It is a time to make peace with all the things we have needed to put aside and celebrate the cycle of the new.
In pagan times, Samhain was celebrated from October 31 to November 1, as the 1/11 of spiritual activity was believed to be at its highest.
One of the reasons the spiritual activity is so high on this eve is due to the vibrations of the date 111.
If we look at each number 1 as a pillar, we can see that the middle pillar represents the veil and “being trapped” between the two worlds.
The darkness that falls between October 31 and November 1, allows us and other beings to travel between dimensions. This is where the tradition of lanterns and dressing in costumes came from – people did it to protect themselves from wandering spirits that could cause them harm.
Samhain is not only the time from October 31 to November 1, it is a whole cycle that lasts until December 21, the winter solstice, and within this cycle the Samhain energy itself will mature. Throughout Samhain the veil between the living and the dead is thinner due to the position of the Sun in the deep and intuitive sign of Scorpio.
Scorpio energy is about transforming and honoring the cycles of death and rebirth, but it also rules over the paranormal and our connection to other dimensions and portals.
When we work with the Wheel of Gaia we truly celebrate Mother Nature and the ever-evolving energies that live around us and through us.
Energy cannot be destroyed, it simply changes from one form to another, and that is exactly what we are called to honor during this sacred time.
In pagan times, important rituals were performed in Samhain to celebrate death, gods, spirits, and to understand the connection of all beings and creatures in this Universe. WE ARE ONE.
It is a time to reflect a little more on the fact that we are spiritual beings who never die. Instead, we live in different ways and in different forms. We continually recreate ourselves through the cycles of life.
Whatever “deaths” you have experienced this year, be it the death of ideas, loved ones, attitudes, relationships, dreams, etc., Samhain is the perfect time to honor change and honor the new energy that will now be welcomed in your life.
For this Samhain instead of doing a deepening cycle for 6 weeks, there will be a Workshop: Samhain. Integrated Consciousness of Light and Darkness.
During the month of November I will be sharing stories of the Mystics who spent dark nights of the soul. These stories will be open and I will do them in the MAGDALENE TEMPLE SERVICE Group on Facebook.
