Shabbat Message: Mary Magdalene´s Mystical Love.
Waves carry us to a beloved place where divine union dwells within the Eternal. The wind, a symbol of the Ruach (רוח) or Divine Spirit, moves us from the darkness into the light, guiding us back to the sacred ways that have been lost or forgotten. This movement is the journey of the soul seeking reunification with the Divine.
As the Ruach, Divine Spirit, carries the soul toward the heights where angels sing, Mary Magdalene guides us through the dark night of the soul, leading us to the light of Yeshua, the Divine Bridegroom. Yeshua, the “beloved” reminds us of the deep, mystical love that transcends earthly bounds—a love that Mary Magdalene knew intimately and that she teaches us to embrace.
On Shabbat, we enter a sacred time where the Shekhinah, the Divine Presence, descends to dwell among us. The “great wind” can be seen as this very presence, lifting us out of the mundane and into the sacred space of rest, reflection, and communion with the Divine. The angels’ song is the eternal melody of creation, the harmony of the universe that we attune to during Shabbat, as we rest in the embrace of the Divine.
As we enter Shabbat, let us imagine ourselves being carried by this great wind, lifted from the shadows of our week into the light of divine love and wisdom. Let us embrace the journey, knowing that with each wave, we are brought closer to our true essence and to the beloved presence of the Shekhinah Magdalena.
Below is a poem I wrote during my morning practice, prayer and reflection. This poem was inspired by the Song below, as I was immersed deep within my Sacred Dance Practice (This is one of the Ahava Sacred Dance Practices we will learn in our workshop series).
I am wishing all of you a blessed Shabbat, I can feel the power of the Assumption of Mother Mary we all experienced yesterday. In the past we have gathered in Community to celebrate the Assumption of Mary in Sacred Circle, yet this year I am on a Summer Rest, an extended Shabbat, to renew my spirit so I can be present with all of you in this Blessed Community.
Wings of the Divine Wind
A great wind rises, unseen yet felt,
Whispering the secrets of the soul’s ascent.
With each gust, it lifts the veil,
Carrying us closer to the heart of the Beloved.
Waves of light, cascading from the stars,
Sweep us from the darkness of forgetting.
In the silent spaces between breaths,
The ancient paths of love are revealed once more.
Oh wind, bearer of the sacred song,
Lift your wings and soar to the heavens,
Where the angels sing the melodies of creation,
And the name of the Beloved echoes in eternity.
In your embrace, I am found,
A soul reborn in the arms of Divine Union,
Where Shekhinah and Yeshua dance as one,
And Mary Magdalene’s love blooms eternal.
Here, in the stillness of Shabbat’s light,
We rest, renewed, in the lap of the Divine,
Our hearts open, our spirits free,
To journey with the wind,
to the place where we belong.
