Magdalene Shabbat Message: Embracing Sacred Unity
Shabbat Message: Embracing the Sacred Unity of the Aramaic – Hebrew Letter Beit
As we enter this sacred day of rest, reflection and unification, let us dive into the profound wisdom held within the Aramaic – Hebrew letter Beit. Beit is a gateway to understanding the divine mystery of creation and the deep spiritual truths that guide our lives.
Beit, the second letter of the Aramaic – Hebrew alphabet, is the first letter of the Genesis, initiating the story of creation with the word “Beresheet” (בראשית), meaning “In the beginning” or “Creation Creating Infinitely.”
The Zohar teaches us that Beit is sacred, intimately connected to the Yesod, the Womb Dimension on the Tree of Life. Yesod represents the foundation of creation, the channel through which divine energy flows into the physical world. It is through this sacred channel that the infinite possibilities of creation are birthed.
Beit holds the gematria (numerical value) of 2, symbolizing duality. Yet, this duality is not a division; it is an invitation to unity. Beit teaches us that when we bring together two seemingly opposite forces—light and shadow, inner and outer, above and below—we create something new, something sacred. This union is the essence of creation, the divine act of birthing new realities.
On Shabbat, the energy of Beit is especially present. Shabbat is a time when the dualities of our week—work and rest, struggle and peace, Soul and ego—come together in a harmonious embrace. It is a time to recognize that within every relationship, every creation, every moment, lies the potential for unity and wholeness. Shabbat invites us to bring the light and shadow within ourselves into balance, to unify the inner and outer worlds, and to connect deeply with the divine essence that flows through us all.
Mary Magdalene, an embodiment of the Shekhinah, the Divine Feminine Presence, is deeply connected to this sacred energy. Just as Beit initiates the story of creation, Mary Magdalene is a symbol of the divine process of bringing spirit into matter, of unifying the heavenly and the earthly. In her life and teachings, she showed us how to embrace the dualities within ourselves, how to heal the divide between the sacred and the mundane, and how to birth new realities through the power of love and unity.
Mary Magdalene’s connection to Yesod, the Womb Dimension, is profound. She teaches us that our creative power lies in our ability to bring together the polarities within us—to embrace both our divine light and our human shadow.
The true human is within you. Follow it. Those who seek it will find it.
The Gospel of Mary Magdalene
This quote emphasizes the idea that true wisdom and divinity lie within each of us, and that by turning inward, we can discover our authentic selves and connect with the divine truth. It reflects Mary Magdalene’s teachings on inner spiritual knowledge and the path to self-realization. This going within implies our experience of death and rebirth in the Spiritual sense. In this sacred union, we find the strength to birth our soul’s deepest desires, to manifest our divine purpose, and to bring healing to ourselves and the world.
As we light the Shabbat candles this evening, let us meditate on the letter Beit and its message of sacred unity. Let us honor the dualities in our lives, knowing that through them, we are constantly creating, constantly bringing new light into the world. And as we welcome the presence of Shabbat, may we also welcome the wisdom of Mary Magdalene, our Sacred guide in this Messianic Age.
May this Shabbat be a time of deep reflection, healing, and creative renewal. May we all be blessed with the understanding that in every union, in every coming together of two forces, lies the seed of new life, new creation, and new beginnings.
