Over the past few weeks, I have received many emails from beautiful souls asking me the same question:
How do I empower my voice?
After facilitating the Phoenician Sound Codes Healing Ceremony on June 10th, I realized more deeply than ever that our voice is one of the primary ways through which the soul enters the world.
Before anything is created, it first exists as vibration.
Before a vision becomes a reality, it exists as frequency.
Before a mission is manifested, it exists as a sound within the soul longing to be expressed.
The voice is therefore not merely something we use. It is something we are.
In the biblical tradition, creation itself emerges through sound. The Divine speaks, and worlds come into being. Throughout the mystical traditions, sacred sound is understood as a bridge between the invisible and the visible, between spirit and matter, between intention and manifestation.
Many people believe they struggle with manifestation when in reality they are struggling with expression.
There is a dream waiting to be spoken.
A prayer waiting to be voiced.
A truth waiting to be shared.
A song waiting to be sung.
A teaching waiting to be offered.
A gift waiting to be embodied.
The voice is one of the great portals through which the soul enters incarnation.
When our voice becomes restricted, our creative life-force often becomes restricted as well. When we begin to liberate the voice, we often discover that we are simultaneously liberating our capacity to create, to receive, to love, and to fulfill our purpose.
This is one of the reasons why sacred chanting, prayer, singing, drumming, invocation, and sound healing have always played such a central role within the mystical path. Sound reorganizes consciousness. It awakens dormant aspects of the soul. It brings coherence to fragmented parts of our being and allows our deepest truth to emerge into the world.
One of the biblical oils that I have found especially supportive for this process is Onycha.
Onycha carries the qualities of both Water and Earth. Like water, it invites us to descend into the hidden depths of our being where forgotten prayers, unspoken truths, and dormant gifts reside. Like earth, it helps anchor these revelations into tangible expression so that what has been discovered within can be embodied in the world. Its frequency is deeply connected to sacred sound and resonance, supporting prayer, chanting, singing, invocation, and the healing power of vibration as pathways of transformation.

It helps release what has remained hidden or unspoken, allowing deeper layers of truth to emerge with clarity, compassion, wisdom, and resonance. It teaches us that our voice is not merely a means of communication but a sacred instrument through which the soul participates in creation itself.
I wrote the following 10 years ago, when I committed to anointing myself with Onycha for 40 days.
Onycha as a sacred medicine has taught me:
Every soul carries a unique song longing to be heard.
Within each of us lives a frequency that has never existed before and will never exist again. This frequency is woven into our words, our prayers, our laughter, our tears, our teachings, our art, our touch, and our presence.
The soul does not arrive empty-handed.

How to prepare your Onycha Anointing Oil
For a 30 ml bottle:
- 33 drops of Onycha essential oil
- Fill the remainder of the bottle with olive oil carrier oil
Before closing the bottle, breathe gently into it three times, offering your intention and prayer. Hold the oil near your heart and chant, pray, or sit in silence for several minutes, allowing the vibration of your voice to bless the oil.
Daily Anointing Ritual for Sacred Voice
Anoint with a drop or a few drops of the oil upon your throat.
Close your eyes.
Take three gentle breaths.
Then pray:
Holy One, awaken within me the voice of my soul.
May my words carry wisdom, compassion, truth, and blessing.
May my voice become a vessel for healing, encouragement, and remembrance.
May every prayer I speak be infused with Your Presence.
May every teaching I share serve the awakening of love.
May every song I sing carry the fragrance of the Beloved.
I welcome the unique melody of my soul to emerge with clarity, confidence, and grace.
May my voice become an instrument of creation.
May my words bring life.

After the prayer, spend a few moments chanting, singing, speaking affirmations, praying, or simply resting in silence as you allow the frequency of the oil and your voice to work together.
Remember:
Your voice is sacred.
Your sound carries power.
Your soul arrived with a song.
