Energy of the Week: August 17–23, 2025
Month of Elul – Virgo and the 13 Petalled Rose
“Those who say they will die first and then rise are mistaken. If they do not first receive the resurrection while they live, when they die they will receive nothing.”
— Gospel of Philip
Essence of this week
Do not seek union outside; make the heart a sanctuary, and Presence will make it home.
The 13-Petalled Rose Opens
On August 23, a great mystery begins, the unfolding of the 13-Petalled Rose, the Rose of Pre-Creation. This Rose is the first covenant, established before time itself, between Imma Allah, the Cosmic Mother, and her Children, humanity.
Each of its thirteen petals corresponds to the Thirteen Attributes of Compassion. To step into this portal is to return to the primordial embrace of the Mother, before the worlds were formed, before separation and forgetting. The mystics reveal: when we walk in the Rose of 13 Petals, judgment and karma do not touch us. The Rose is compassion itself, a shield, a sanctuary, a return.
Shabbat and the Second Soul
Shabbat before a New Moon has a heightened Frequency. At The Desert Rose Mystery School Shabbat is beyond Dogma and Religion.
The Zohar teaches that on Shabbat an additional soul, neshamah yeterah, descends. This is not another being, but the widening of our own essence: a second breath, a cloak of radiance, a resurrection within time.
This week’s Shabbat is magnified, for it falls just before the New Moon in Virgo. In the silence of the moon’s concealment, the second soul enters more fully, clothing us in the garment of compassion. Shekhinah rises to be crowned; YHVH descends to embrace Her. The union of Feminine and Masculine renews the cosmos.

Shabbat Consciousness: The Bridal Chamber of Now
Shabbat Consciousness is not merely a day in the week but a dwelling, a sustained state of unification, the bridal chamber. In this state, the soul returns to its first intimacy with the Divine and abides there. Our Revelation is Magdalene Shabbat. Rest becomes revelation. The womb of time receives the breath of pre-creation; the Rose opens; the soul remembers. Elul–Virgo turns the key of intimacy: the Beloved is near, and the way back is tenderness disciplined into devotion.
“Those who say they will die first and then rise are mistaken. If they do not first receive the resurrection while they live, when they die they will receive nothing.” — Gospel of Philip
This is the Gnostic mystery of resurrection in the body. It is not deferred to an afterlife but unveiled in the present: the immortal spark awakens within flesh. Every human being carries two movements of life: one bound to matter—formed by habit, fear, and desire; another breathed by Spirit—an eternal radiance that was never born and never dies. To live only from the first is to revolve in repetition and forgetting. To awaken the second is to enter resurrection now—to pass from surviving to living, from time’s burden to a taste of eternity in this breath.
Shabbat is the portal where this awakening becomes tangible. The neshamah yeterah—the Second Soul—descends, clothing us in light and revealing that eternity is already here. This “second soul” is not an addition but an expansion of our own soul into its fullness. Weekday consciousness narrows under effort and burden; on Shabbat a wider breath enters—a radiant garment—lifting us beyond the weight of time. Hence Shabbat peace, sweetness, and living prayer: the Second Soul has stirred within us.
To receive the Second Soul is to taste resurrection while alive. Eternal life is not postponed; it is embodied. We cease to wait for salvation at the horizon and walk as resurrected ones in the present moment, carrying the fragrance of eternity in our breath.
The New Moon in Virgo inaugurating Elul amplifies this teaching. Virgo, the virgin womb, gestates new creation. The dark moon conceals the seed; Shabbat breathes the extra soul; Elul whispers: Return to the Beloved. In this season, devotion ripens into Shabbat Consciousness, an abiding bridal chamber where heaven and earth meet within the body.
This is Magdalene Shabbat: a sanctuary of remembrance where Maryam and Yeshua embodied resurrection in the body and taught that eternal life must be received here and now. To remain in Shabbat Consciousness beyond just a day in a week is our discipline and delight: breath that becomes prayer, prayer that becomes presence, presence that flowers into unification. May this constancy of rest reveal what has always been true: the Beloved is near, and the way home is love practiced until it becomes our life.

Collective Tikkun Healing
This week we repair by moving the field from judgment to compassion. As the 13-Petalled Rose of Pre-Creation opens on Shabbat, we enter the covenant of mercy with Imma Illah, the Cosmic Mother, where karma cannot touch. Make sure to create a balance between work and personal time, creating space for the blessings to be received. This week it is very important to speak blessings instead of criticism, and ground love with a tangible act of care for someone nearby.
Practice for this week
The Month of Elul – Virgo is traditionally linked to the verse from Song of Songs 6:3:
“Ani L’Dodi v’Dodi Li — I am my Beloved’s, and my Beloved is mine.”
The first letters of this phrase — Aleph (א), Lamed (ל), Vav (ו), Lamed (ל) — form the acronym Elul (א-ל-ו-ל).
So the entire month of Elul is understood as a time when the Beloved draws close, the Divine is in the field, walking with us, inviting intimacy and return. It is the month of teshuvah (return), but not return through fear; return through love and devotion.
That is why Elul is often called the month of the Beloved: every act of prayer, every breath of repentance, is really an act of love: turning the heart back to its Source.
Mantra Prayer Chant and Celestial Movement Meditation for Divine Union

Yod Hei Vav Hei
Maryam – Yeshua
This was the first chant I recorded and taught when the Magdalene Priestess & Priest trainings began in 2012. It remains the gate-opener in our lineage, the Magdala – Christos Template of Divine Union.
