The frame drum, one of the oldest and most universally found instruments in the world, holds a special place in the realm of spiritual music. Historically, it has been connected to feminine energy and divine wisdom. The Frame Drum was used by both men and women to invoke and embody the Shekhinah, the Divine Feminine Presence, the Holy Spirit. In this light, the frame drum symbolizes Lady Wisdom – who brings us inner knowing, intuition, and the deep mysteries of the soul.
Incorporating the frame drum into spiritual practice can deepen our connection to the divine. It can be used in rituals, meditative practices, or simply as a means of connecting with the spiritual realm. The drum becomes an extension of our being, a sacred object that helps us traverse the boundaries between the physical and the spiritual.
The drum is a journey of incarnation, where the soul finds the energy and vibrancy to fully express herself in this physical existence. The drumbeat becomes a reminder of our connection to the earth, to each other, and to the wisdom that flows through all of creation.
