My story

Before I had words for prayer or mysticism, there was movement. Dance was the first language through which I learned to listen. From an early age, I sensed that the body could become a place of encounter with something greater than myself.

Movement taught me that prayer did not always need words. Sometimes prayer was breath. Sometimes it was rhythm. Sometimes it was the surrender of the body to something it could feel before the mind could understand.

My path eventually led me into yoga and the study of movement as a pathway of transformation. Later, in Granada, my immersion in Flamenco and duende revealed another dimension of embodiment: that grief, longing, beauty and devotion could be moved and transformed through the body.

Egypt · Kuwait · Dubai

Life eventually carried me to the Middle East, where I lived and worked in Egypt, Kuwait and Dubai. The desert changed me. Its vastness stripped away the unnecessary, while its silence taught me another way of listening. During these years, my exploration of dance as prayer deepened alongside my encounter with the mystical traditions of the region.

Aramaic also entered more deeply into my spiritual practice. Through sacred language, prayer, breath and movement, I began to experience something I had always intuitively known: sound can be embodied, and the body itself can become prayer.

My encounter with Mary Magdalene

During my years in the Middle East, I went on pilgrimage to the desert. There, I experienced my first visitation of Mary Magdalene. Her Presence was unmistakable, and with Her came the words:

I could not have known then how profoundly this encounter would shape my life. Mary Magdalene became a living Presence and High Holy Teacher whose Mysteries I would spend years contemplating, studying, embodying and eventually teaching. Through Her, a path of profound incarnation opened before me — one that leads us more deeply into the body, the Earth, Divine Love and the mystery of embodied Presence.

The Magdalene–Christos Path

A Desert Rose gathering in a rose garden

When I returned to Spain, the many threads of my life began to weave themselves into the body of work that became The Desert Rose Mystery School.

Over the years, my understanding of the Magdalene path continued to deepen. I came to a place where I could no longer contemplate the Magdalene without the Christos, nor Christos without the Magdalene. For me, they reveal the mystery of Divine Union.

This is the heart of the Magdalene–Christos path — a contemplative and embodied way in which prayer, sacred sound, movement, anointing and devotion become pathways into lived Presence. Their sacred meeting reveals something fundamental to my work: Divine Union does not require difference to disappear. It calls what has been divided back into sacred relationship — Spirit and matter, Heaven and Earth, feminine and masculine, human and Divine.

The work I offer today

Today, through my writing, teaching, travels, talks and The Desert Rose Mystery School, I continue to share a path shaped by the Mysteries of Mary Magdalene and Christos, Aramaic spirituality, sacred movement and sound, Divine Union and the embodiment of the Sacred Feminine. What began as a life of seeking has become a life of devotion — expressed through the words I write, the teachings I share, and the practices I embody and teach.

And through it all, I remain a student of the Mystery.

The Divine is not only something we seek. It is something we are invited to embody.
